ICNCLST partnered with Converse and Perrotin to create a limited-edition sneaker celebrating Nina Chanel Abney’s first solo exhibition in Paris. The collaboration aimed to translate Abney’s bold, expressive visual language into a wearable canvas, merging contemporary art with everyday fashion and culture.

EXECUTION

ICNCLST led the strategic and creative coordination, working closely with Abney to adapt her signature graphic details and playful color contrasts onto the classic Converse silhouette. Every design decision—from pattern placement to color selection—was informed by her gallery work, transforming the shoe into both a functional piece of footwear and a collectible work of art. The project positioned the sneaker as a bridge between the gallery space and street culture, inviting audiences to experience Abney’s practice in a new, tangible form.
