Focus
ICNCLST partnered with Off-White and FUTURA to co-design the SS20 collection, blending high fashion, sportswear, and iconic artwork into a cohesive creative expression. The goal was to fuse fashion, art, and cultural storytelling while highlighting FUTURA’s enduring influence.
Execution
Working alongside Virgil Abloh, FUTURA, and New Guards Group, ICNCLST helped translate FUTURA’s signature artwork onto men’s and women’s garments, spanning sportswear and evening wear. A life-size sculpture of FUTURA’s ‘Pointman’ character was installed on the Paris Fashion Week runway and used across promotional assets. The SS20 show also debuted a rare sneaker collaboration with Nike, Off-White, and FUTURA. The project extended beyond Paris, inspiring a capsule for Abloh’s Figures of Speech exhibition at MCA Chicago. ICNCLST led concepting, product design, and communication strategy over nearly a year to ensure cultural resonance and creative cohesion.
Cultural Impact
The collaboration reinforced FUTURA’s legacy while pushing the boundaries of fashion as a platform for contemporary art. By integrating iconic visuals, sculpture, and limited-edition footwear, the project highlighted the intersection of street culture, high fashion, and institutional art.
