"Humble Souls"
FUTURA, IN COLLABORATION WITH BTS

We are proud to share FUTURA’s solo exhibition, “Humble Souls,” a multi-sensory experience produced in collaboration with BTS. On view at HYBE INSIGHT until May 29, 2022, this exhibition marked FUTURA’s first solo exhibition in Korea.
As an artist who began his life as a self-taught creative actioning in the streets and in studios with his peers, Futura hopes that his work with BTS delivers the messages of humility, hard work, and respect. After being incredibly inspired by the efforts of BTS to empower youth and heal the planet, FUTURA decided to title this collaborative exhibition “Humble Souls”.
“Humble Souls” features eight “FL-006” sculptures designed by FUTURA which were displayed in the center of his exhibition’s room. This grouping, with each sculpture featuring a unique color selected by each band member of BTS, served as a metaphor for continuous self-reflection, community solidarity, and diversity as strength. Exclusive sound design created by BTS, inspired by Futura and New York City, will play within the exhibition as a sonic layer. Lastly, FUTURA also displayed the abstract painting 'PASMO' as part of the exhibition; other works also were displayed within the exhibition to help introduce Korean audiences to the dynamism of abstract art.
During the flight of the installation, FUTURA and Futura Laboratories released a variety of art editions and collaborative items—spanning fashion and accessories—in partnership with BTS and an exciting array of select Korean designers.
