We are proud to announce Joshua Vides’ solo exhibition, “Commercial Break”, which opened at SAI on April 29th. This exhibition marks Vides’ first exhibition in Japan, and features a dynamic array of new artwork spanning painting, drawing and sculpture. “Commercial Break” is proudly co-presented and co-produced by ICNCLST.
The works on display in “Commercial Break” mark a decided shift in Vides’ style, most notably from that of his previous black and white series, “Reality to Idea”. This new body of work explores themes from comics, cartoons, and various media familiar to the artist during his childhood years—as Vides acknowledges these influences in his work today.
In conjunction with “Commercial Break”, ICNCLST also partnered Vides with WTAPS and Kith Treats Tokyo for tie-in merchandise and product. Congratulations to our client and friend Joshua Vides!
