ICNCLST is proud to share Nina Chanel Abney’s latest work with Google.

For the particular engagement, Abney was brought in for Google’s Holiday 2023 program.

Google Holiday 100, a shopping guide curated by 2023’s search trends, was co-created by Google, and “tastemakers from the worlds of fashion, film, and sports—Emma Chamberlain, Jimmy Butler and Stephanie Hsu”.

Google tapped Nina Chanel Abney to interpret some of the guide’s gift picks through her unmistakable point of view. These original pieces were then used to design an exclusive Holiday Wrapping Paper, which was included inside many national publications such as Architectural Digest, Vogue, Vanity Fair and others as a gift to their readers.

This project marks the artist’s second project with Google, the first being her first commercial collaboration in 2017, which saw Abney design a series of limited-edition cases for the Pixel 2, as well as creating an interactive experience at Refinery29's “29Rooms”, Refinery 29’s artistic funhouse for adults.
