Tommy Hilfiger / Shaniqwa Jarvis

Tommy Hilfiger returned to NYFW for the first time in 3 years with a show inspired by Andy Warhol’s Factory. We were hired to co-concept and co-produce a New-York-specific brand campaign to parallel Tommy’s runway presentation—with paid media on the streets of NYC.

ICNCLST/ selected photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis, who strived to reveal the true selves of her subjects through authentic portraiture. The campaign protagonists, dubbed Future Makers, included Vashtie, Jerome Lamaar, Becky Akinyode, Craig Costello (KRINK), Christina Paik, as well as Shaniqwa herself.

What I believe is a great portrait, sometimes other people do not agree, because I am really capturing them, not a fantastical version, it’s really the true version of themselves, All the things that make me me, I think I put into my photography.” - Shaniquwa Jarvis

Additionally, ICNCLST/ engaged KRINK to create a site-specific painting live at the NYFW event, for all the invited guests.
